Audrina Gets The Ax In ‘Sorority Row’ Trailer

Summit Entertainment just released the new trailer for their upcoming horror flick “Sorority Row,” and I gotta say — I think it looks kind of awesome. Is that just me?

The movie stars Briana Evigan (”Step Up 2: The Streets”), Leah Pipes, Rumer Willis and our very own “Hills” star Audrina Patridge. (Also in the film? Carrie Fisher, which is incredible.) In the film, a remake of “The House on Sorority Row,” a group of sorority sisters accidentally cause the death of one of their own in a prank gone really, really badly. And if you watch the trailer, you see that — spoiler alert! — Audrina is unfortunately the one that gruesomely bites the dust.

The trailer starts by setting up the ladies’ crazy Greek-life shenanigans — then Audrina’s character discovers her boyfriend has cheated on her (what’s up, Justin Bobby?) before enlisting her sorority sisters in a little revenge.

They decide to convince him that he’s accidentally killed her. Unfortunately, it appears that he goes into panic mode and brutally attacks what he thinks is her corpse before the other girls can clue him in on the trick — and she dies a horrific death.

'Hills' star inks deal with Mark Burnett

"The Hills" has lost another resident.

Audrina Patridge is leaving the show after its upcoming fifth season, exiting MTV's popular soap for a new deal with Mark Burnett Prods.

Burnett's proposed new series will follow Patridge's personal and professional life. The show will be pitched to networks starting next week.

"We are truly pleased to have the chance to work with Audrina," Burnett said. "She has already proved her star quality, and we can't wait to show her fans worldwide the next stage of her life and career."

Patridge's exit follows the recent announcement that "Hills" star Lauren Conrad is likewise leaving the series. With "Hills" performers' contracts up and Conrad and Patridge out, there's speculation that MTV will either end the show after next season or at least give the show's cast and focus a significant shake-up.

"We cannot confirm a sixth season at this time," an MTV spokesperson said when asked about Patridge's departure. "However, 'The Hills' will continue as long as there are stories to tell, and as of now we don't see an end in sight."

Without Conrad and Patridge, "The Hills" is just not going to be the same show. Perhaps instead of doing a Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt spinoff, as long discussed, perhaps the couple will take over "The Hills" brand. Given the show's ratings, MTV is probably reluctant to let the show's title get retired, even without its lead performers. The 10-episode fifth season of "The Hills" premieres March 30.

Burnett will exec produce the new project; Patridge and Gladys Gonzalez are attached as producers. Patridge is repped by APA, Gonzalez of John Carrabino Management and Larry Kopeikin.

"The Hills" Accused of Being Really Trashy

The people behind "The Hills" are in a legal war over the live season finale -- accused of being even trashier than the people on the show.

The guy who owns the Beverly Hills mansion where MTV shot the "Live from the Hills Season Finale" claims when he rented the place out for the show in 2008, he was promised it would be returned in "the same condition." What he got back, he claims, was a disaster area.

According to a lawsuit filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Igor Greenberg claims MTV and New Productions Inc. "caused extensive damage to the property in at least the amount of $158,250.07" -- and he wants them to fork over the cash.

Sure, it's meaningless, stupid drama -- but so is everything else that has to do with that show.

The Hills Season 5 Trailer

Feeling drama-free? Leave it to MTV to release the exclusive trailer for The Hills “bonus episodes” (the network insists this isn’t season 5; these are season 4 extras), and spice up their regular programming.

Who wouldn’t tune in to see Heidi Montag crash ex-BFF Lauren Conrad’s surprise birthday party? Better yet: What is going on with the frenemies crying on each other’s shoulders, and — gasp — hugging!

As for Spencer Pratt flirting with a bartender and wailing on some poor dude, well, that we’d expect. MTV hasn’t set a date for the March premiere, but says the show will return to its 10 p.m. time slot on Mondays.

The City, starring former Hills gal Whitney Port, ends its first season March 16 at 10 p.m.

APO NOTE: Unfortunately it looks like Audrina won't have much of a storyline this season. Let's hope we can be proved wrong!
